April marks the beginning of prime fishing opportunities, with rivers, lakes, and streams coming back to life after the winter chill. If you're looking to reel in some big catches this spring, here are some of the best spots to cast your line:

Known for its abundance of rainbow and brown trout, the Provo River is a popular destination for fly fishing enthusiasts. Head to the lower Provo River for excellent fishing conditions in April, with the chance to catch trophy-sized trout.

Strawberry Reservoir

Located in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Strawberry Reservoir is a hotspot for both shore and boat fishing. April is an ideal time to fish for cutthroat, rainbow, and kokanee salmon in the reservoir's crystal-clear waters.

Green River

For a truly unforgettable fishing experience, make your way to the Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam. This world-renowned fishery offers some of the best trout fishing in the country, with April marking the start of the peak season.

Bear Lake

Nestled on the Utah-Idaho border, Bear Lake is famous for its trophy-sized cutthroat trout and lake trout. April brings excellent fishing conditions to Bear Lake, with anglers flocking to its shores to try their luck.

Utah Lake

Utah's largest freshwater lake, Utah Lake offers a variety of fishing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. In April, look for walleye, bass, and perch in the lake's shallow waters and along its rocky shores.

Logan River

Flowing through Logan Canyon, the Logan River is a scenic and productive fishing destination in April. Anglers can expect to find healthy populations of brown and rainbow trout, making it an ideal spot for a day of fly fishing.

Mirror Lake

Tucked away in the Uinta Mountains, Mirror Lake is a serene and picturesque fishing spot surrounded by towering pine trees and alpine meadows. April is a great time to fish for brook and cutthroat trout in the lake's tranquil waters.
